TPO chooses UL as its management
system registrar

UL International L.L.C., Taiwan Branch (UL Taiwan), UL’s wholly owned affiliate in Taiwan, recently won a three-year contract from TPO Displays Corp. (TPO) for performing management systems
audits across its operations in Taiwan, Nanjing, Shanghai, Hong Kong as well as the Netherlands. Under the contract, UL would assess TPO’s management systems including ISO/ TS 16949, ISO
9001, ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001.

Taiwan-based TPO is a renowned display panel manufacturer. Toppoly merged with the Mobile Display System Division of Philips to form TPO in 2005. Following the merger, TPO realized that the two companies had been implementing disparate and inconsistent management systems. TPO therefore sought auditing services from a registrar in order to create consistent workflows and quality management processes among its worldwide offices.

“We are impressed by the professional expertise and quality service that UL’s auditing team delivers. Also, UL’s wide range of management system registration services and strong presence in Greater China is a good match to the needs of our worldwide operations,” said Ms. Coco Chou, QS Division of TPO.UL Logo
