UL Apex recognized as a CBTL for medical
and measuring equipment

In June 2006, UL Apex Co., Ltd. (UL Apex), the wholly-owned affiliate of Underwriters Laboratories in Japan, has been recognized by the IECEE (IEC System for Conformity Testing and Certification of Electrical Equipment) as a CB Testing Laboratory (CBTL) for medical and measuring equipment under the IECEE CB Scheme.

For local manufacturers of medical and measuring equipment in Japan, UL Apex can now offer them local CB testing services, helping them to save cost and time that would otherwise incurred in sending product samples to overseas CBTLs.

Apart from the new CBTL status for medical and measuring equipment, UL Apex has been recognized as an NCB and CBTL for TRON (AV) and OFF (IT) product categories and for the field of EMC. UL Apex is able to offer a broad portfolio of certification marks to help manufacturers gain access to the global markets.
