UL 542 Fluorescent Lamp Starters, 9th Edition Braided or non-braided wiring are allowed for manual starter leads, but with different lead insulation temperature rating requirements, i.e. not less than 75°C if the leads are provided with an outer braid, and not less than 90°C when not provided with an outer braid. September 1, 2006
