Bang & Olufsen a/s (B&O),
a leading audio and visual products provider based in Denmark, received
its first batch of China Compulsory Product Certification (CCC certifications)
for its 14 A/V products including television sets, sound systems speakers,
DVD players and A/V interface boxes. Those certifications were successfully
made through UL-CCIC Co., Ltd (UL-CCIC) in three months.
"The UL-CCIC team did a great job in speeding up our application process,"
said Kent Gerner Christensen, project manager of B&O. "I was impressed
by their quality service. Given the distance and time difference between
China and Denmark, it was incredible for them to turnaround such a large
project in just three short months!"'
Since early 2003, UL has been providing CCC agency service through a team
of professional CCC service consultants in China.
"UL-CCIC's strong connection with various Chinese governmental bodies
enables us to provide quick, quality certification service to overseas
customers seeking entry into this tempting China market," said Doug Johnson,
general manager of UL-CCIC. "Recently, our business relationship has been
further strengthened and recognized by receiving a ‘Class A Client’
status from the China Quality Certification Center (CQC), CCC's official
authority."
Effective August 1, 2003, manufacturers with products subject to the compulsory
certification should obtain CCC certification before importing or distributing
their products into China.
